I am grateful to the universe for having the opportunity and talent of painting. It makes my life much more meaningful.
I express with colors and forms everything that I cannot express with words.

There is dynamism, movement and enthusiasm in my paintings. This reflects my personality. Painting balances my energy and life in a positive way. The blank canvas is a journey open to all possibilities for me… It is a process where I experience every state of emotion… Just like life!

I pass what I take from life through an internal filter and give it back to the world as an images through colors, shapes and lines.

Tuncay Topcu reflects the empathy he has established with the outside world on the canvas with an abstract expressionist attitude. Color and line change from moment to moment with the changing rhythm of life and find a lyrical expression form. The use of rich colors strengthens the visual effect by skillfully layering without risking muddying. Today, the artist continues to work in his workshop in Izmir as an important representative of the Abstract Expressionist approach in Contemporary Turkish Painting.
